Boo!

Wow. I am way behind and only a few weeks have past. It seems that as soon as Chase's birthday arrives, the rest of the year is super busy. But I'll try to catch up now. I'll post a few photos here, but at the bottom is a link to all of our October & November photos (so far).

On the 17th of October we threw a festive pirate party for Chase at a local park. We rented a cabin, had a treasure hunt, played in the rain, and enjoyed a camp fire. After the party, Kelly and Chase camped out in the cabin. We all had a blast celebrating Chase's birthday and I think we'll remember it for a very long time.

On his actual birthday we had waffles at Papa & Grandma Sandy's, went to our neighborhood's annual fall festival and wrapped with dinner in the trolley car at Old Spaghetti Factory. Everyone was exhausted, but it was loads of fun.

Another big event occurred a few days later: Chase finally sent his binkies to the "Binky Fairy." He decorated an envelope, put his binkies inside and we took it out to the mail box. The next morning he found a special gift from the Binky Fairy on our front porch! The first two nights were a little rough, and naps were nonexistant for a couple of weeks. But we are so proud of our big boy. It was not an easy thing for him to do.

Halloween was pretty special this year. I can't explain how wonderful it was to watch two little boys get so excited about dressing up and trick-or-treating! Plus, we were graced with sunny weather, a full moon and (for once) no one had a cold. Chase dressed as Nemo again this year and Callan wore Chase's old dragonfly costume. They were adorable. Chase even got to design his own jack-o-lantern.

Halloween weekend also brought a special visitor! Cousin Kaleb came up from Vancouver and we were able to spend the day with him at the aquarium. Chase and Callan adore their cousins.

We are only a few days into November and still very busy. The weather is still holding out, so we are trying to get outside as much as we can. Playgrounds, hikes in the park, chilly walks on the beach, etc. Next up is a possible trip to Vancouver, WA, Callan's birthday, Thanksgiving...and then one holiday event after another. I'm getting tired just thinking about it.

Papa made waffles for Chase's birthday breakfast.

Callan's favorite toy. A stretchy, sticky, rubbery skeleton. He even sleeps with him.
