Beach Scavenger Hunt

What do you get when you take half a dozen preschoolers to the beach and tell them to look for things like rocks, leaves, sea shells and sea glass? The answer: Buckets full of rocks, slimy seaweed, sea snails & hermit crabs.

That's what happened during our recent trip to the beach with our mom's group for a beach scavenger hunt. Not only did the kids find very cool things that were not on their hunting list, but most of them were standing in tide pools up to their knees to get them. We all had so much fun we are doing it again next month...but this time without a list.
