"Music is what life sounds like." - Eric Olson

On Saturday we took the boys to the Seattle Symphony's Tiny Tots concert. I've wanted to go since Chase was a baby and was finally able to get some tickets at the last minute. Everyone got dressed up in their spring best and we headed downtown to Benaroya Hall. The boys were able to try out some instruments before the show & both of them loved playing the violin. The concert was a silly mix of songs, jokes & music. The boys had a great time and were literally dancing in the aisle.

When the concert ended we had refreshments at Starbucks and then made our way down to the symphony's Soundbridge. It's basically a big room with all sorts of instruments that the kids are allowed to play, touch and explore. Callan's favorite was the wooden xylophone and Chase's favorite was the trombone. I've never been able to figure out how to blow into a trombone or trumpet correctly, but Chase nailed it on his first try. The boy has no rhythm...but who knows...maybe he's more musically inclined than we think!
