Whidbey Island 2009

We just got back from a week-long trip to Whidbey Island with Kelly's family. The boys were sad to leave our big house on the beach, but also seem really happy to be home in their own beds. We had a lot of fun, but it seems to be a difficult time to travel. Chase is 3.5. If you've ever had a 3.5-year-old I don't have to say anything more. Callan is 19 months old and very clingy to Mommy...especially if he is teething...which he apparently is. This is what MY view looked like on vacation:


But all joking aside, we had a nice time as a family. Now we are home for a few days & then off again to Cannon Beach. I'm starting to look forward to August when we can just (hopefully) stay home! But at the same time, the road-tripping, beachcombing, and sun has been good for all of us in one way or another.
